I am a Medical Oncologist in Bengaluru. I treat solid and blood Cancers, with particular expertise in targeted therapy and precision oncology.
Biography
I am a Medical Oncologist, and I diagnose and treat a wide range of Cancers, with a focus on matching treatment to the biology of each patient’s disease. I completed my MBBS at Siddhartha Medical College, Vijayawada, my MD at Pramukhswami Medical College under Sardar Patel University, Gujarat, and my DNB in Medical Oncology. I also hold the Specialty Certificate Examination (SCE) in Medical Oncology from the Royal College of Physicians, United Kingdom.
My clinical philosophy rests on three ideas: every Cancer is different; every treatment plan should be shaped by that difference; and the quality of life a person has during and after treatment matters as much as the treatment itself. I work hard to make sure every decision is understood, not simply accepted.

Clinical experience
I combine evidence-based oncology with individualised planning, taking into account the type and stage of the Cancer, the patient’s overall health, family circumstances and long-term goals. Where genomic findings are involved, I review the results with a multidisciplinary team, drawing on pathology, radiology, surgical oncology and radiation oncology as needed, so that the data becomes a practical, patient-centred plan.

What types of Cancer do you treat?
I treat a wide range of solid tumours and blood Cancers, including breast, lung, gastrointestinal, gynaecological and haematological Cancers, using chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy and combination regimens as appropriate.
Can a treatment plan I have already been given be reviewed?
Yes. If you already have a diagnosis or treatment plan, the pathology, imaging, previous treatments and available evidence are reviewed and the options discussed. See Understanding a treatment plan for more.
Do I need a referral to see a medical oncologist?
Not always. Many people begin with a general symptom, see a family doctor or physician, and are referred to an oncologist once the tests have been done. That is a common route, but it is not the only one, and you can see an oncologist directly. You can contact Spashta Healthcare, and bringing any existing reports, scans or pathology helps make the first discussion more useful.

Do you use genomic or precision testing for every patient?
No. I recommend genomic or molecular testing only where it is clinically meaningful for your Cancer type and situation, and will explain whether it applies to you. See Precision Oncology.
